ONLINE MUSIC TECHNOLOGY (Sonicbids)
Sonicbids is a $10M, VC-backed, 40-person company in Boston that is the leader in the online
music management space. Sonicbids helps promoters from around the world find musicians,
and musicians find gigs and licensing opportunities (commercials/tv/films). They're the inventors
of the now industry-standard Electronic Press Kit for bands, and lead the pack in the "gigs
matching" space. They're gearing up to develop some cool new products, and looking to find a
talented product manager to join the team. Sonicbids offers a very cool, laid-back-yet-hard
working, fun atmosphere - complete with great music, and even in-house performances on
occasion!
SENIOR SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Sonicbids is looking for a Sales Superstar to expand their promoter network. The Senior Sales Representative
is responsible for convincing high value promoters to use Sonicbids to book talent. Their next Senior Sales
Representative will let down their hair and roll up their sleeves to bring in new business and keep existing
customers coming back for more. The right candidate will be a relentless goal setter and accomplished goal
achiever. We’re looking for someone with management aspirations to grow into a Sales Manager role.
Responsibilities:
• Achieves seven figure annual sales
• Grows promoter network via cold calls, nurture programs, events and in person meetings
• Cultivate sustained, long-term relationships with promoters
• Directs lead prospecting and targeting
• Builds proposals, marketing campaigns and pitches to drive promoter demand
• Mentors members of the Sales Team
• Effectively qualify opportunities to ensure greatest return on time investment
• Accurately forecasts and effectively balances opportunity development with prospecting activities
• Performs work in a positive and professional manner
Qualifications:
• Solid knowledge of business, sales, marketing and negotiation tactics. Minimum of 5-7 years outside or
inside (non-retail) sales experience required with a proven track record of success.
• Ability to listen effectively to understand promoters needs
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and deal-closing skills, and the ability to pass those
skills and “tricks of the trade” along to team members.
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Must be able to learn quickly and work in fast-paced and creative work environment.
• Loves to win and hates to lose
• Excellent people, relationship-building and interpersonal skills. Performs work in a positive, professional
manner.
• CRM proficiency required.
• Concert booking or other music industry experience a big plus. Prior work experience with a VC-backed
company is ideal.
